Day 1: Coffee

We all know that America's most popular drink (exceeding everything INCLUDING water) is coffee. In other words, America runs on coffee. Coffee, for those of you who like to be told what everything is even though you already know, is a reference to a drink that is created when hot water is run through ground coffee beans. Many different types of coffee exist, but I will cover only my favorite types, from least favorite to most favorite.

#3: Eight O'Clock Coffee Colombian: A black, delicious, nutty tasting coffee which is surprisingly inexpensive at most grocery and convenience stores. Rated "#1 Coffee for Your Dollar" in Consumer Reports magazine, this coffee is the best for the amount of money you can spend on it, and is therefore number three on our list.

#2: Dunkin Donuts Medium Roast Whole Bean: A fruity tasting coffee blended created by America's second favorite doughnut company. Also on Consumer Report's list of best coffees for your dollar, Dunkin Donuts coffee is a step up in price, but also a step up in full flavor and smoothness. Combined with a light hazelnut creamer, this coffee is the perfect morning cup.

#1: Douwe Egbert Filter Blend Medium Roast: America's most smooth, full bodied, tasty coffee with notes of almond and pear masked under the delicious flavor of pure, clean coffee. I don't know how they made a coffee so perfect (possibly by mailing to Heaven for some of God's beans), but Douwe Egbert's line of coffees are the best that there is. The only problem? The price tag. At more than $11.99 per bag (not bulk pricing), Douwy Egbert will eat away at your wallet, should you become a regular drinker.

Bonus Coffee: Kopi Luwak: Arguably the best coffee in the world, Kopi Luwak is the ultimate coffee. At $399.99 a bag on VolcanicaCoffee.com, this coffee is the most delicious, smooth, full flavored, fruity, nutty, DELICIOUS beverage that has never graced my mouth. I will never have another sip, however, as Kopi Luwak is also America's most expensive non-alcoholic drink. Please look this coffee up if it interests you, as I feel you will be VERY interested in how this coffee is produced.
